Helpful tips to progress faster, spend resources wisely, and avoid common mistakes.Your alliance is one of the most important parts of your account. A strong alliance gives faster helps, better territory, more forts, better event rewards, protection and access to experienced players.
Do not stay in a dead alliance just because you joined it first. If your alliance is inactive, slow with helps, or not organized for events, move. In Rise of Kingdoms, a good alliance can speed up your entire account.
For new players, this is often more important than small upgrades inside the city.
Gems are one of the easiest resources to waste. Do not spend them randomly on speedups, small shop items or every Wheel of Fortune.
For most F2P and low-spend players, VIP is one of the best long-term gem investments because higher VIP levels give daily value, including legendary commander sculptures at key milestones. Try to spend gems during More Than Gems when possible, because that lets you get extra rewards for spending what you already planned to spend.
Random gem spending feels good for one day. VIP helps your account for months.
Universal legendary sculptures, often called gold heads, are one of the most valuable resources in Rise of Kingdoms. Do not spend them on every legendary commander you unlock.
A common beginner mistake is putting 10, 20 or 50 sculptures into several commanders and ending up with no strong march. It is usually better to save gold heads until you know which commander is worth long-term investment.
If you are F2P or low-spend, bad gold head spending can hurt your account for a very long time.
Many legendary commanders should not be upgraded randomly. If you open extra skills too soon, your sculptures can land on the wrong skill and make the commander weaker than expected.
A common rule is to max the first skill before moving forward, unless you are following a specific guide for that commander. Do not promote a legendary commander just because the button is available.
Skill order matters. Check the commander before spending sculptures.
Rise of Kingdoms rewards focused investment. A strong commander pair with good skills, gear and talents is usually much more useful than several unfinished marches.
Early on, pick a practical direction and build around it. Do not try to be infantry, cavalry, archers and leadership all at once. You can expand later, but your first useful march should be reliable.
A focused account trades better, fights better and wastes fewer resources.
Resources become a major bottleneck. A farm account helps your main account keep building, researching, healing and training without spending money.
This is especially important for F2P and low-spend players. Your main account can focus more on progress and gems while your farm account helps supply wood, food, stone and gold.
A farm account is not exciting, but it solves one of the biggest long-term problems in the game.
Castle upgrades matter because Castle is required for rally capacity and later progression toward Academy 25. The problem is that Castle needs Books of Covenant, which can become a major bottleneck.
Do not wait until the last moment to think about books. Join fort rallies, collect books over time, and plan ahead if your goal is to reach high-level research or eventually T5.
Many players delay their account because they ignore Castle for too long.
Speedups should not be used just because you are impatient. Short timers are often worth waiting out, especially early.
Use speedups when they help you during a good event, push an important building, finish key research, prepare for KvK, or unlock a major account milestone. Spending speedups without a plan usually gives less value.
The best players do not only have more speedups. They use them at better times.
KvK is where poor preparation becomes painful. Before serious fighting, make sure you have resources for healing, enough healing speedups, useful commanders, and enough hospital capacity.
Do not enter KvK thinking only about power. Power without healing resources is fragile. If you fill your hospital and cannot heal, your fighting value drops quickly.
Good KvK preparation is about stamina, resources, speedups, commanders and following kingdom calls.
Spenders can fix mistakes with money. F2P and low-spend players cannot. That means you should not blindly copy whale commander choices, max wheels, equipment plans or rally/garrison investments.
Your strategy should match your budget. For most lower-spend players, that means saving more, skipping more commanders, focusing on one strong march, and getting long-term value from VIP and events.
A clean F2P account is not a weaker whale account. It needs a different plan.
