Our prediction based on past updatesGuide & Tips for Legend of the Phoenix
Helpful tips to progress faster, spend resources wisely, and avoid common mistakes. In Legend of the Phoenix, momentum is what helps partners deal damage in key fights like Archrival battles, Hunting Ground, Shouangong, and Guild Enemy battles. For most players, especially early and mid game, your best upgrades should go into a small group of partners who can push story and combat checks, not into everyone equally.
The common mistake is spending Potential Fruit, books, and EXP wherever a red dot appears. Momentum scales heavily with level and potential, so giving strong upgrades to a low-priority partner often gives less progress than feeding a partner you already use for hard fights.
Debate does not simply let you pick your favorite partner every time. In Imperial Garden, the game can choose a champion from your top partners by Total ATTR, so a single overbuilt partner will not carry every debate run. You want a solid top group, not one huge character and seven weak ones.
This helps avoid a frustrating mid-game wall where your power looks high, but debate results are inconsistent. Keep your best debate partners close enough in strength so that a random selection does not ruin your run before you even start.
Confidants are not only romance content. Their bond skills boost linked partners, and those bonuses matter more when they support your real core team. Before spending bond points, open the confidant’s bond screen and check which partners receive the boost.
For main debate or momentum partners, percentage bond skills usually become more valuable over time than small flat bonuses. The early mistake is upgrading whatever gives a quick number increase, then realizing later that the points went into partners you barely use.
Foster children are connected to confidants, and better confidant investment can improve the quality of children you raise. If you spread intimacy items across every confidant too early, your foster child system becomes slower and less rewarding.
For F2P and low-spend players, it is usually better to focus on one or two useful confidants first. This avoids the mistake of creating many weak children while your best confidants are still too underdeveloped to produce stronger long-term results.
When a debate opportunity appears, you do not always need to accept instantly. If your selected partner could benefit from pending upgrades, buffs, books, or bond points, delaying the start can be better than rushing in with unfinished stats.
The mistake this prevents is starting a debate just because the button is available. Once you begin, the partner’s stats are locked for that debate, so quick upgrades after accepting will not save that run.
Legend of the Phoenix has timed ranking events tied to actions like power growth, confidant gifting, banquet activity, debate, and other systems. If you spend every item immediately, you often lose the chance to turn the same resources into ranking points later.
This matters most for F2P and low-spend players. Save items like Potential Fruit, books, intimacy gifts, energy/stamina pills, banquet invitations, and similar limited resources unless they solve an immediate progression block. The mistake is chasing tiny daily gains and having nothing left when the correct event arrives.
After Chapter 2, foster children become part of your long-term growth. Raising them, marrying them off, or sending the right adult child toward Cabinet Scholar progression can add useful value instead of being just another notification to clear.
The mistake is leaving child slots blocked or rushing every child without thinking. Since new children require free slots, ignoring the system slows future gains, while careless spending on weak outcomes can waste ingots and time that would be better used on stronger confidant-linked children.
