Our prediction based on past updatesGuide & Tips for Lineage2M
Helpful tips to progress faster, spend resources wisely, and avoid common mistakes. In the early game, the main quest is the fastest way to unlock systems and push toward your first big progression wall. But once the quest starts sending you into crowded aggro areas, especially around tougher mid-game zones, stop treating auto-quest as something you must brute-force. Use Scan, adjust your targeting range, and pull only the mobs you actually need instead of letting auto-combat drag you into every enemy nearby.
This matters because Lineage2M’s auto pathing can place you right in the middle of aggressive packs. The mistake is wasting potions, dying repeatedly, and thinking your gear is the only problem. Sometimes the better play is to farm Codex items, run Oracle Quests, or grind a safer spot until your accuracy, damage, and survivability catch up.
Oracle Quests are worth doing because they give good experience and useful rewards, but the hidden value is that many reward items can feed your Codex. If the item is not an upgrade for your class, don’t dismiss it too quickly. Check whether it completes an Item Codex entry before selling, dismantling, or ignoring it.
This is especially important for F2P and low-spend players. Codex bonuses stack slowly, but they are permanent power that does not disappear when you change gear. The common mistake is looking only for direct equipment upgrades and missing small Codex gains like main stat, damage, MP recovery, mana efficiency, HP, weight limit, resistance, or evasion.
Dungeons in Lineage2M are not just “extra content.” They use access time, and Bonus Time Stones can extend that time, so you should spend dungeon time where it solves your current bottleneck. If you need levels, use high-EXP dungeon time seriously. If you need drops or Codex pieces, choose a dungeon or floor that supports that goal instead of farming randomly.
The mistake is entering whatever dungeon is available and letting the timer burn without a plan. In many cases, using Soulshots and buffs during a strong EXP window is worth the Adena cost, because faster kills mean better use of limited access time. Save casual AFK farming for safer field zones where the timer is not the main resource.
Enhancement is powerful, but early-game gear is replaceable. Push weapons first because kill speed matters, but don’t gamble important scrolls on low-grade gear just because the number can go higher. Each item has a safe enchant point, and after that you are taking real risk for gear you may soon replace.
This helps avoid one of the most painful beginner mistakes: burning scrolls and Adena chasing a short-term upgrade. A safer approach is to use early enhancement to make farming smoother, then save bigger risks for gear that will stay with you longer. For most new players, stable progress beats one lucky upgrade followed by several failed attempts.
Skills in Lineage2M come from Skillbooks, and not every skill has the same value at your current stage. Early on, focus on the books that improve your normal grinding loop: your main damage skill, key passive skills, healing or sustain tools if your class relies on them, and anything that improves uptime. You can check skill sources in-game instead of guessing where a book comes from.
The mistake is trying to collect every possible skill immediately while your Adena is still tight. Some books are useful later but do little for your current farming speed. If a skill burns too much MP, has poor uptime, or does not help your main PvE rotation yet, it can usually wait until your economy is stronger.
Lineage2M gives value to items that look useless at first glance. Gear you cannot equip, duplicate drops, low-grade items, and class or Agathion cards may still unlock permanent Codex bonuses. Before clearing your bag, open the Codex and check whether the item completes an entry.
This also helps with the weight system. Once your weight gets too high, recovery and combat become harder, so you need to clean inventory often. The mistake is cleaning it too fast by selling everything. Register Codex items first, stash what may be useful, and only then sell the rest.
Lineage2M lets you progress into stronger classes later, so your first choice should make the early grind comfortable. Ranged classes usually have an easier time tagging mobs, farming quest targets, and avoiding messy melee movement in crowded areas. Melee classes can still work, but they often spend more potions and lose time running between targets.
This does not mean you must play bow or staff. It means you should understand the cost of your choice. If you pick melee as F2P, plan around safer farming spots, better potion management, and slower quest completion in crowded zones. If you pick Orb or another MP-heavy setup, watch your MP recovery and skill auto-use carefully so your character does not burn mana faster than it can recover.
