The mistake to avoid is treating all early progress as equal. If you keep jumping between low-difficulty maps, you delay the reward unlock that helps your account grow faster. Pick the map you can clear most consistently, improve that team, and push it until difficulty 9 is done.
Guild of Monster Girls uses map exploration instead of only straight stage clearing. Moving across the grid costs stamina, and tiles can lead to fights, treasure, merchants, perks, bonuses, or bad effects. Because of that, a run is not only about whether your team can win one battle.
Do not waste stamina moving randomly just because a tile is nearby. In early game, take routes that give useful rewards without forcing too many risky fights. In harder maps, avoid paths that drain stamina before you reach the important rewards or boss tile.
Talents can change how useful a girl feels, but talent resources are not something you should throw around randomly. Before investing heavily, decide what that character is supposed to do: tank damage, restore MP, deal skill damage, counterattack, support the team, or scale from a specific stat.
The mistake is trying to “fix” every new character the moment you get her. A 5-star girl with the wrong talents can still feel weak, while a lower-priority unit with a clear role can carry you through early and mid game. Save rare talent changes for girls you actually plan to keep using.
Do not choose your team only by rarity. Many girls need the right setup before their skills become strong. A damage dealer who needs MP recovery will feel slow without support. A counter-based unit needs to survive hits. A healer or
The mistake this avoids is blaming a character when the team around her is the real problem. When a unit feels weak, read what her skill needs first. Sometimes the answer is not replacing her, but adding MP support, a better front line, or gear that helps her trigger her main effect more often.
If one of your casters suddenly starts using basic attacks instead of skills, check the weakness condition before assuming the unit is bugged or useless. When weakness is exposed, some map rules can stop skill casting, which is especially painful for teams built around magic damage or MP cycling.
This matters most in mid game, when fights last longer and enemies hit harder. If your main caster keeps falling into weakness at the wrong time, improve her survival, protect her position, or adjust the team so she is not constantly interrupted. Replacing the caster without fixing the weakness issue usually does not solve the problem.
Luck is not a simple “more loot everywhere” stat. It is useful when a mechanic directly checks Luck, such as certain rerolls or skills that scale from it. That means Luck can be excellent on the right character, but almost wasted on someone whose skills do not care about it.
The mistake is stacking Luck across the whole team without reading skill text. If a girl’s healing, buffs, or special effect scales with Luck, then the stat deserves attention. If she scales with another stat, such as SPI or damage stats, forcing Luck gear on her can make the build weaker.
Guild of Monster Girls has a lot of equipment, so it is easy to use auto-equip and forget about traits. Auto-equip is fine at the start, but later you should check whether gear supports the girl’s actual job. A small stat increase is not always better than a trait that improves MP recove
